Question: What is the relationship between sports club, children, CORONA, flizzy mouse and swimming pool?
Answer: Despite CORONA, the flizzy mouse visited Lunzenau. Here and with the offers of the sports club also in the swimming pool our children had a lot of fun despite distance and consideration.
Our 3- to 7-year-olds
One week after the virtual land cycle in Lunzenau, the practice operation of the Department of Children's and Youth Sports started again on 15 May 2020. The kindergarten children, who otherwise proudly exercised alone, brought their parents with them, who, in addition to the exercise instructors, respected distance and all other important and unfamiliar things. The training ground was also unfamiliar. Especially for our youngest at the parent-child tournament, the seemingly endless expanse of the sports field was a real challenge, because otherwise we are used to the small manageable gymnasium of the primary school. It was also a challenge in terms of content, as we had to do without our usual games. For all children between the ages of 3 and 6, it was called sports at stations. We practiced for the ‘Flizzy’ children’s sports badge: Wide jumping, running back and forth, jumping back and forth, tree trunk rolling, aim throwing, balancing and last week also hull bending, because the distance was really a problem. Our future preschool children and the school beginners tried it with Purzelbaum and Hampelmann instead of tree trunk rolls and jumping back and forth.
As every year, the highlight for our youngest children was the summer festival on 26 June 2020, which we ‘big’ kindergarten sports children experienced for the first time this year together with the children of the parent-child group on our sports field. The school beginners proudly reported at the beginning of the just experienced sugar bag festival in the kindergarten with his star guest ‘Ziegfried’; but everyone knew that our star – the flizzy mouse – was invited again for us. In order to get the coveted ‘flizzy badge’, some still had a few of the tasks described to solve. Our parents helped us. They helped us find the right stations, measured distances, cheered us on or were just as sad when things didn't work out so well. At some point, the long-awaited star guest of our summer festival – the ‘Flizzy Mouse’ – also arrived.

Since everyone had completed all the stations, we were able to proudly receive our ‘flizzy badges’ and the certificates with the achievements achieved after the photo session. But there was also a surprise for the flizzy mouse this year. Müllrich’s had painted a portrait of the flizzy mouse, although they had never been seen before. The flizzy was a bit embarrassed at first, but was very happy. You can believe me! We ended the afternoon with Viennese sausages, bread rolls and lemonade. The little things at the beginning of school found their recipients and everyone started their way home proudly at some point with a balloon and ‘flizzy badges’. However, some balloons had to be brought from the ceiling of the tent with the ladder beforehand. Luckily, we hadn't distributed the balloons on the sports field. Thanks to the diligent helpers from the board, who had made it possible with their hygiene concept to relocate this year's summer party, which would otherwise take place in Elsdorf, to the sports field. Next year, however, we want to make the great playground and the sports field in Elsdorf unsafe again.
Our primary school students of 1st and 2nd grade
Like the younger ones, our first and second graders also prepared for their challenge. Even before school started, they were also told to ‘go to sports’ on the sports field. The sun laughed almost every Friday, which made the wind pleasant during the sprint. There were further long jumps and throws, but also 800 m - run on the plan. But the sun meant it a bit well. Fortunately, however, there is a lawn sprinkler on the sports field, which not only brought good cooling to the ‘football lawn’ but also to us.
On June 30, 2020, we didn't care about the sun, because today should finally call the swimming pool again. Meeting point 16:00 o'clock entrance was called as usual and two hours of swimming, diving, jumping lay in front of us. Only the slide was unfortunately still out of operation, so it remained in the triple fight. After all, two of us wanted to improve in terms of swimming badges and also made it with bronze and silver. Congratulations!

Our closing party on July 17, 2020 we actually wanted to go to the outdoor pool
Start with Penig. Unfortunately, the weather witch had conjured up temperatures around 20°C on the only day of the whole week. It was just too cold for the outdoor pool. So we met again this time at 3:30 p.m. in front of the entrance of the Burgstadt indoor pool. Today was fun, slides, splashes, games on the program; It should be our sporting year. The afternoon of bathing was also spent together at dinner – the parents had their own table – in the sports centre before we started our well-deserved holidays.
