Building diary for the grandstand

With our fourth building diary, we would like to show our fans, sponsors, partners and sympathizers the progress of construction via the ‘Modernisation / extension balcony with barrier-free access and grandstand at the Lunzenau sports field’.

Through this construction project, we are building a second escape route from the newly designed clubhouse, a grandstand with over 200 seats, as well as a large billboard that extends over the entire 12.50 m length of the grandstand. An important goal of the sports club is the integration and mobilization of sports-loving people with physical disabilities, who are to be classified or maintained in the community of sports-loving club members through appropriate offers. The offer is expanded by creating the structural conditions to be able to offer these people a worthy place as spectators at football matches and the many other sports events in the stadium on Rochlitzer Straße.

But also for all other sports enthusiasts, spectator seats are created in the slope between the clubhouse and the current changing room building with a view of the playing field. For this purpose, the well-preserved former seats from the Red Bull Arena in Leipzig were polished and repaired, whereby a small touch of the large sports world blows through the city of Lunzenau.

The sponsor's plaque built in the back of the grandstand will also serve as a privacy screen for the sports field. The total cost of the construction project amounts to almost 333,000 euros, of which we receive around 232,500 euros through LEADER funding.
