On the first weekend of July, the old gentlemen of the FK Libochovice from our partner city/CZ were guests in Lunzenau. The theme of the guest visit was ‘Friendship connects!’. After our old gentlemen were able to enjoy the hospitality in the Czech small town last year, we have created together with the city administration Lunzenau a colorful supporting program, which found its highlight in the friendly match of the two old lord teams. The guests were able to win this in front of around 100 spectators at the end with 3:1 (1:0). David Radke scored the goal for the interim 1:1 balance from the penalty point. But in the end, not one team won, but the cultural balance and friendship of both sports clubs and cities.
A special moment took place during the half-time break of the game. No one had really expected the honor of honorary member Siegfried Berthold. But almost exactly to the day exactly 65 years ago, he joined our sports club and has made it with his tireless voluntary commitment over several decades only to what he is today. In addition to the great applause of all those present, there was also a certificate and a voucher from our SVFL and the city of Lunzenau. “We felt that this event would be the perfect setting for this extraordinary award. It was a very emotional moment, we hope that Siegfried will remain with us for many years to come and wish him a lot of fun redeeming the voucher and a lot of health", said club president Tommy Haeder on the occasion of the award.

The evening ended together with our friends from Libochovice in the marquee with dance music from the Sunshine discotheque. Above all, the exchange was in the foreground. In addition to numerous conversations, the dance leg was also swung.
At the end of the guest visit, our guests visited the cellar mountains in Penig on Sunday morning. A heartfelt thank you goes to the municipality of Penig and the tour guides of the Kellerberge for the uncomplicated handling.
We are already looking forward to the next joint exchange of both sports clubs in the coming years.
This measure was co-financed by tax resources on the basis of the budget decided by the Saxon Parliament.
