Reinforcement for our men's football team

Philipp Dartsch (29) and Alexander Dartsch (28) switch to our SVFL

The old season as well as the two highlight games against FC Erzgebirge Aue and 1.FC Lokomotiv Leipzig are already history again, the new season is already casting its shadow. The plans for these are now almost complete. In addition to an intensive preparation plan, there are also some changes in the player squad.

With Philipp Dartsch and Alexander Dartsch, two very experienced players switch to our colours. The 28-year-old Alexander, who was trained with two feet and can primarily be used on the left or in the storm, can look back on a lot of playing time in professional football. Among others 5x 2.Bundesliga-, 21x 3.Liga- (1 goal), 96x Regionalliga- (25 goals), 58x Oberliga- (19 goals) as well as 1x DFB-Pokal-applications in his vita. In addition to stations at FC Erzgebirge Aue, Chemnitzer FC, SV Eintracht Trier, ZFC Meuselwitz and VFC Plauen, he was most recently in the squad at BSC Rapid Chemnitz in the Landesliga.

“My brother and I finish our career in the club where we put on our first football boots. I am happy to be back after years in different leagues and hope that I can give something back to the club and the team", says Alexander Dartsch on his change of club.

Philipp Dartsch, who is exactly one year older on the day, who is right-footed, has his strengths especially in the defensive. He played for Chemnitzer FC, BFC Dynamo, SpVgg Bayern Hof, FSV Budissa Bautzen and VFC Plauen. He was also last in the squad of the Sachsenligist BSC Rapid Chemnitz. His vita includes 33x Regionalliga (3 goals), 135x Oberliga (29 goals), 39x Landesliga (11 goals) and 14 Landespokal (4 goals). He often took the initiative in the team and led some of these teams as a leader on the field. In addition to his role as a player, Philipp will also support the coaching team. Another strength is his goal danger, which he brings with him for a defensive player.

“Back to the Roots – together with the home club in the success track, that is my big goal. We want to help continue the path we have taken with our experience," said Philipp Dartsch on the new task.

After 2nd place and the missed promotion to the Mittelsachsenliga, several players have finished their active careers in our first teams. Sven Mehner, Falk Rosin, Uwe Sparschuh, Tobias Grüne and Peter Hammer will tackle other challenges in our club in the future. Among other things, some of these players will remain active in our newly founded second team in the small field. With Tobias Grüne, we have also had a new referee since the last winter break, who has already been ranked in the middle axes class for the coming season.

“We are very pleased that we have been able to set the course for a successful future for our association in recent weeks. However, it is important that we continue to walk the path together in the future and do not forget which path we have taken so far. Together with the numerous young talents and the already more experienced players, we want to take the next step in a playful way and be at the top of the table as far as possible at the end of the season. However, we have to work hard week after week and get even closer together as a team and club. With the infrastructure we have created, we have perfect conditions for this. We are proud that Alexander and Philipp have decided to move forward together", said President and coach Tommy Haeder.
