The railway opening took place in Geringswalde on 22 April 2023. Five of the Lunzenau athletes took part. Kim Meier wanted to start in the sprint and long jump, but unfortunately had to cancel at short notice due to illness. But we wish her a quick recovery, so that she is fit again at the next competition. Amelie Zschache was the second athlete to compete in sprint and long jump. In both disciplines she showed good performances, on which we can definitely build in the next competitions. In addition, Benny Klauß started immediately in all 5 available disciplines. In the long jump he showed a good performance with 4.81 m and finished second. Space, in the discus it did not go quite as well, but he showed again a very good performance in the shot with 9.61 m. In the sprint he showed what he can do and won with 13.03 seconds in his age group. Finally, he took part in the 800m run and finished after 2:51 minutes. Benny’s sister Gina was also there again and competed in 4 disciplines. In the sprint, she won with a winning time of 14.91 seconds. In the long jump, she finished second. Place with 4.35 m, but here goes certainly a little more at the next competition. Unfortunately, as with her brother, Discus did not go so well, but she also showed a good performance in the shot shot with 8.23 m. As fifth in the league, Hannah Dörn started in the shot shot and in the discus. In the discus she showed a good performance with 23.02 meters, which she did on the 3. Place brought. She was in top form today and showed everyone else, with a new best performance of 10.54 m, what she has on top.
