Digitalization in our sports club is progressing...

... thanks to the support of Sparkasse Mittelsachsen

The development in our sports club has been progressing at a rapid pace in recent years. In addition to the sporting development in our existing or new departments/sports groups and the numerous construction projects, the purchase of new training and sports utensils as well as the training and further education of the instructors are also an important part of our association's work.

However, thanks to the generous support of Sparkasse Mittelsachsen, we have also been able to make a major leap towards future-oriented equipment in the area of digitalisation of our association activities this year. By purchasing two laptops including accessories and a mobile printer, our association's work will be made much easier in many areas in the future. It is particularly gratifying that with these acquisitions we have succeeded in significantly increasing the working conditions for our FSJ position, which was created for the first time in the association. In the coming months, Pascal Müllrich will be able to carry out his numerous tasks within the framework of the FSJ on a mobile basis and equipped with the latest technology.

These investments were only made possible by Sparkasse Mittelsachsen’s ‘Digitalisation support package’. We successfully applied for this in the summer of this year and received a total of 600 euros as support. The remaining financial resources for the purchases made were taken from the club's budget.

"We are pleased that with Sparkasse Mittelsachsen we have such a strong and reliable partner at our side, who regularly supports us with his financial commitment in the implementation of important projects," said club president Tommy Haeder.

“We are pleased that we were able to support the associations in the digitalisation of their association work and wish them all the best for their voluntary work. The donations for the ‘support package’ come from the PS-Purpose. In the regions of Freiberg and Mittweida, over the past ten years, more than EUR 2 million distributed to non-profit associations and institutions. Each year, around 200 to 300 projects in central Saxony can be supported. The support package digitization, the support of youth fire brigades, playground renovations or the modernization of club homes were, for example, large projects that we were able to implement with the help of the PS-Purpose. We are pleased that we can thus contribute to an active, livable environment and support voluntary work", sums up Indra Frey from Sparkasse Mittelsachsen.
