After the new hiking department of SV Fortschritt Lunzenau e.V. was founded this year, we want to draw up a small interim report.
We started for the first time in the month of June, on a 7-kilometre trial hike in the direction of ‘Muldenblick’, continuing along the old Cossener Straße around the abandoned sand pit. The next hike in July took us in the footsteps of Friedrich Eduard Bilz, the well-known naturopath in our area and started appropriately, in Arnsdorf at his birthplace. Over 8.5 km we walked on his paths. Unfortunately, the third hike in August had to fall ‘into the water’ due to heavy rain and slipped slopes in the truest sense of the word. It was actually planned to explore the Atonement Crosses and the surroundings of the Göhren Bridge. But postponed and not lifted! Thus, the next hike became the one that was organized in September by the Burgstädter Wanderverein. The hike ‘Rund um den Taurastein’ took us 15 km from Burgstädt towards Mühlau and back. The hike was super organised and very educational for us ‘newcomers’.
On 10.10.2021, we followed the call of the hiking friends Glauchau e.V. and hiked 12 km in a guided hike ‘Through the valley of the Zwickauer Mulde’ and collected the most wonderful impressions. On this hike, we also roamed the Bismarck Tower, the highest still existing tower in honour of the former Reich Chancellor ‘Otto Von Bismarck’. The tower is 45 meters high and the landmark of the city of Glauchau.
So and now fix the announcement of the next hike:
The next hike will take place on Saturday 27.11.2021.
Start of the "Advents mulled wine hike towards Sühnekreuze"
is 9:30 am at the stadium on Rochlitzer Straße in Lunzenau.
For better planning, please register in advance at 0177/5872919 (Carmen Petrus).
We are looking forward to a lively participation and many more great hikes in our beautiful regional environment.
