BASIC INCLUSION on 25.06.2021

3 years ago not even vision, now the first walls are already standing. With the many highlights in our sports club, the parallel construction sites in the home stadium on Rochlitzer Straße and the club life peppered with outstanding events, it is not easy for the author to report on this memorable date at this point, but all the more emotionally.

In the best weather and finally again in front of the audience, we were able to realize this important date on the last Saturday in June. Our President Tommy Haeder welcomed, among other things, numerous club members and representatives of the individual departments, some sponsoring partners, the mayor of our city and representatives of the press.

Yes, the hustle and bustle of the SVFL is perceived beyond the city limits. Mayor Ronny Hofmann was more than right when he said: “With the real appearance of this building, with the possibility to grab it, you can see what can be moved, what excellent performance the sports club and its board is doing and what's possible in Lunzenau!”

Previously, Tommy Haeder had briefly outlined the career path from the vision to the laying of the foundation stone, mastering hurdles, professional support, the many hard work and homework and the financial contribution of the country, district, city and not least our club members. He did so visibly with pride. Our multifunctional building also has many fathers: Tommy came up with the first idea!

The executing construction company SLK Bauunternehmen GmbH was also thanked for the excellent cooperation and its flexibility and, of course, an accident-free construction progress was desired. Thus, it was also possible to make up for the weather-related delay in construction to almost 100 percent.

The speeches were refreshingly short. Before the time capsule with daily newspaper, a coin from 1950 and 2021, sports club flyer and the signatures of the participants in the laying of the foundation stone was ‘walled up’ with concrete provided by our Uwe Hoffmann, I was nevertheless allowed and wanted to say THANK YOU in particular to our club members for supporting this idea and the associated additional financial burden. We do not take this for granted!

We are already looking forward to the next milestone – the topping-out ceremony. Until then, however, we will have to contribute many more working hours to the construction project.
