The next competition for our athletes took place on 26 May 2022. This time it went for 6 athletes to Geringswalde to the city championships. For the youngest athlete, Kim Meier, it was the first competition. She started in the AK11 and showed good performances in both the sprint over 50m and the long jump. It's a pity that in the end it's only for the 4th in both disciplines. There was enough space. Amelie Zschache started in the AK12 in the sprint over 75 m and in the ball throw. In the sprint she showed a very good performance, which ended with the 3. The place was rewarded. At the ball throw she also proved her skills, but it was not enough here for a podium place. Benny Klauß, our only boy, started in the AK13 in sprint, ball throw and long jump. In all three disciplines, he finished second. Place and achieved a new best in both sprint and long jump. In the sprint, he even qualified for the national championships with a time of 10.41 s. In addition, he started in the discus and reached with a new best performance of 23.30 m both the 3. Place, as well as the qualification for the national championships. Jasmin-Joan Eckert took part in the shooting and showed there a decent performance for her and thus occupied the 4th place. Place. Gina Klauß started in the W14 in both the shooting and discus disciplines. In the shot, she improved her personal best and reached the 3rd place. Place. In the discus, she also showed her skills in the last attempt and achieved a new personal best of 18.99 m and thus the 2. Place. In addition, Hannah Dörn started in the W15 in shooting and discus. She proved her skills in shooting and improved her best performance to 10.17 m, once again confirming the standard for the national championships. In the discus she also gave her best and thus occupied the 3rd place. Place.
