30.10.2021 1. SVFL Volleyball Tournament

In addition to reporting on the above-mentioned highlights of the last weeks, I wanted to give an outlook on the last ‘dates’ in our sports and events calendar.

However, now – and again due to the coronavirus pandemic – the sport year 2021 is faster and more likely to end than expected. Now we are the ones who like to make sure that sport can be practiced and met in the community. Whether in sports competition, diligent help or cozy get-together. Politics is not our business. Nevertheless, it is allowed to say at this point: “It's not really everything anymore comprehensible!’

  • Football local derby against Göritzhain: CANCELLED!
  • Club stand at the Christmas market Lunzenau: SEE ALWAYS!
  • Children's Christmas party: WARNING!
  • Club Christmas party: WARNING!
  • 1. big club Christmas singing: STANDS IN THE STARS!
  • Traditional Club Tournament: WARNING!

Comparisons with professional sports, large weekend shows on German television and so much ‘helau’ at the start of the carnival should not be drawn. Nevertheless, it hurts! All the more pleasing were the many past activities. We will use our well-known association platforms to inform about the respective still possible activities.

Regular meetings of our Executive Board also include the regular involvement of our department headsinside. This has more than proven itself, is gladly accepted and, of course, promotes the short distances of decision-making. This important communication and ‘direct line’ instrument is certainly one of the foundations of our successful development. This is complemented by our interview series. This year will be the 3rd. Conversation with those responsible for our fan department, Steve Ahnert and Olaf Vogel, can be found on our homepage. Other topics included the planning of purchases and the preparation of the calendar for the upcoming year 2022. We would like to thank all our Heads of Departmentfor their work and securing the most important part of our association's work: The sport!

The framework conditions created by the Board of Management were able to launch our ‘Grilling for a good cause’ at Kaufland Burgstädt on 28 October 2021 under the proven leadership of Andrea Ahnert. Cross-departmental, volunteer barbecue friends could be won again for this great action. We are on the right track and have already said: THANK YOU! We are also happy about any ‘eaten bratwurst’ that might strengthen you, but in any case our association. A big thank you goes also to our premium partner Kaufland, which now allows us for the fourth year in a row this action.

Strengthened, legally compliant and endowed with an overwhelming mandate for the next tasks, the Bureau can now start the last year of this parliamentary term.

STRENGTHENED:

  • for the continuation of ongoing construction projects
  • for the further development of the association
  • for the enlargement of our departmental family

LEGAL CONFORMITY:

  • with necessary amendment of the articles of association
  • on the basis for maintaining eligibility

SUPERVISORY MANDATE:

  • for structural development
  • for the further work of the Executive Board
  • for the additional burden to finance the multifunctional building

In summary, this is the result of our ordinary general meeting on 29 October 2021. Well prepared by our President Tommy Haeder, he was then able to successfully review in the 2020/21 accountability report what everyone in our stadium on Rochlitzer Straße can see, grasp and experience and feel in our club. In German football, this is a real home game. Interested were noted the gigantic figures. There was talk of a medium-sized company that now manages ‘lay people’ on a voluntary basis. Our treasurer Steffen Rochsburg was able to substantiate this with record sales in the financial report. Our board member, construction project manager and doctor Axel Putzschke was awarded the silver pin of honour of the Landessportbund Sachsen this evening. WELCOME to this well-deserved award! In our club we keep together in victory and defeat and are united in joy and grief. So it was a matter of honour for us at the beginning of our general meeting to commemorate the club members who died this year with a minute of silence. A big thank you goes to our cooperation partner, the Protestant High School Lunzenau, for providing the premises.

Yes, and then we actually do sports in our sports club.

On 30.10.2021 we had to our 1. Volleyball tournament for EVERMANN and on 06.11.2021 to our 1. Table tennis tournament loaded for EVERYONE. This was a good idea, which was underlined not least by the numerous participants. All teams and participantsTo mention inside would certainly go beyond the scope. In table tennis, the field of participants was so large that in active and non-active athletesinside and there could be divided into two groups. While the starter field was a bit mixed here, the three participants of the ‘sports-crazy family’, Glatz, stood out. These were then also together with our board member, Greenkeeper boss, football goalkeeper of the first men's team and active table tennis players in the preliminary round, which then also won the tournament deservedly. Congratulations to Sven Mehner! Congratulations also to the sports fans from Burgstädt, who deservedly won the volleyball tournament!

Such events ‘cry’ for repetition. Not only do we find this, but many of the participants also expressedInside and spectatorsinside. Well organized, well received, fair fought and active in sports. I also took part in the table tennis tournament for the ‘non-active’. That was a great experience, even if a game is lost twice with 0:11 (thanks to Lenny Rauscher from me), you don't really end up last. Good: For volleyball, I had ‘at least’ my sports bag with me. How does the proverb say so well? ‘Whoever comes too late is known to be punished by life’. Nevertheless, I was able to pick up so many tricks that the others can freshen up for the next tournament. I am looking forward to this as well as the 1. Darts tournament for EVERYONE, which will be in our calendar of events 2022. A big thank you goes to our FSJ ́ler Pascal Müllrich, who played a large part in the successful implementation of the two events with his organisation.

Anyone who is currently taking a look at the stadium on Rochlitzer Straße will note: Wow! The construction progress of our multifunctional building is well advanced, the barrier-free interior of our club home is almost completed and work on the new Uwe Hoffmann grandstand has now begun. We are happy about the active support of our hard-working volunteers from the association and the family environment - without you this would not be possible! At this point, we would also like to take the opportunity to thank everyone who has so far responded to our call for waste paper collection. Thanks to this campaign, almost 500 euros have already been collected this year. We look forward to numerous waste paper collectors in the coming weeks and months.

Remains to thank the numerous helpers and organizers, to eat of the positive experiences, to be in a good mood and to go with new dates into the new sports year 2022.

Sports are free.
