This is how not only fairy tales but also reports on Corona times begin.
In 2020, our rehabilitation sports department was able to look back on the 25th anniversary of its foundation. This should be celebrated in a dignified setting in any case. So it was planned and postponed, but not repealed. This already speaks for the great feeling of togetherness in this troupe and not least for your department head Kerstin Sachse-Sterlemann.
Then it should be on 28 September 2021 in the restaurant ‘Bauernhof zum Silberbergwerk’ in Wolkenburg. At this point, thank you to the operators for making this possible on a rest day. But perhaps it was also a matter of course for the guests to accommodate us, because our department members in old age visibly feel comfortable and at home there and have already chosen this location several times for themselves. I was able to get to the 3rd. Be a guest there and in this round. I'm just saying: Again and again gladly.
This evening was opened with a sporting event. Bowling was required. Even if I run the risk of repeating myself: It is a pleasure to see with what passion and sporting ambition ‘points, savings and strikes’ were fought and fought. I'm happy to report this, as age doesn't seem to matter. Class and respect. Before someone asks: ‘Of course I also took part and certainly did not push a calm ball. But I was lucky: The result lists have not been published’!
Then it moved on to the cozy part. Before we talked about ‘God and the world’ and of course our sports club over delicious food, this anniversary evening was officially opened.
With warm and cordial words as well as statements about the beginnings 26 years ago by our department head Kerstin, a positive nod and a great connection could be noted. We are always impressed by the family atmosphere. This was also illustrated by our club president Tommy Haeder in his short speech. He particularly emphasized this lived cohesion, the important enrichment of our club life by the rehabilitation athletes and the loyalty to our club. We would also like to thank you for the broad support of the additional financial burden associated with the construction of the multifunctional building. The Vice-President, who was also present, was happy to join in this thanks. In the meantime, it is a tradition that these two are not only on site together, but also that they both ‘speak’.
I kept mine short, but liked to express my joy at the words of praise for reporting on our club activities. Thanks for the praise!
Yes, and then it should be emotional. With this anniversary evening, a worthy framework had been found to say thank you and to honour.
In the person of Kerstin Sachse-Sterlemann, a worthy, active and unthinkable club member could be honored in this round. And rightly so! This was underlined not only by the continued applause of those present, but also by the gold medal of the Landessportbund Sachsen.
Glad that Mrs. Dipl.-Med. Ingrid Dänschel was able to participate in our event after her service. We appreciate their time commitment. In this context, it was a pure premiere evening. Our President and Mrs Danschel met in person for the first time this evening. As a board member, I was able to present my theoretical sports activities.
We were pleased to present her with the LSB's Silver Badge of Honour and expressed that we are looking forward to the future cooperation.
