Dear members, sponsors, partners, fans and supporters of SV Fortschritt Lunzenau e.V.,
At the turn of the year, I would like to take this opportunity to thank you, on behalf of the entire Board, for your loyalty, commitment and support, without which the development of our association in this form would not be possible.
The SV Fortschritt Lunzenau e.V. continued to develop very positively in 2025. As of 30 December 2025, we have 545 members in 15 different departments, making us one of the largest sports clubs in central Saxony. These figures stand not only for growth, but above all for vitality, diversity and cohesion in our association.
My special thanks go to all athletes and trainers who represent our colours week after week with dedication, discipline and passion. All competing teams and sports groups have represented our club with dignity, regardless of standings or results.
I would like to emphasize the Volleyball and Floorball departments, which have taken an impressive development since their foundation about two years ago. The fact that both departments are now successfully participating in regional competitions shows the potential and enthusiasm that has arisen here.
Children's and youth sports remain a key pillar of our association. Here, we not only lay the foundation for sport, but also convey values such as fairness, team spirit and responsibility – values that work far beyond sport.

Particularly pleasing from a sporting point of view was the district championship title of our men's football team and the associated promotion to the national class. The fact that the team currently asserts itself there in the middle of the table and the goal of class preservation seems realistic is a great success and deserves the highest recognition.
Despite all the joy of what has been achieved, we must not ignore the challenges. The high costs of the completed construction projects continue to put a noticeable strain on our association. At the same time, expectations of quality, organisation and supply have increased in all areas – which is not always easy for us as a board member. Social changes are also reflected in club life and challenge us every day.
But we face these tasks with energy, openness and cohesion, because only together can we continue to set up our association in a stable and sustainable way.
For the year 2026, I wish us all above all health, many hard-working comrades-in-arms who want to advance the SVFL, as well as humility and prudence in dealing with what we have built together. Especially in a fast-paced time, we should consciously take time to be proud of what we have achieved – of what we have created together with our partners, especially the city of Lunzenau, here in idyllic Lunzenau.
Thank you for your trust, your support and your connection to the SVFL.
I look forward to another year together with you.
With sporting greetings
Yours
Tommy Haeder
President
