SV Fortschritt Lunzenau e.V. mourns the loss of its long-standing association member
Volker Michael
With great sadness and deep sadness, we bid farewell to our long-time club member Volker Michael, who died on July 4, 2026 after a short, serious illness at the age of 67.
With Volker, we are losing not only a loyal member of the association, but above all a person who has accompanied and shaped our association over many decades with great commitment, reliability and passion.
His tireless voluntary commitment to the care and maintenance of our sports facility was extraordinary. Whether in the maintenance of the equipment, during work assignments or wherever helping hands were needed - Volker was always reliable. With his energy, his modesty and his connection to SV Fortschritt Lunzenau, he has made a special contribution to our association.
His work will remain visible and perceptible for a long time on our sports grounds and in the memories of many club members. With his death, SV Fortschritt Lunzenau loses a person who leaves a big gap and whose commitment to our club will remain unforgotten.
Our sincere sympathy goes out to his family, his relatives and all those who were close to him. We wish them a lot of strength, comfort and cohesion in this difficult time.

We can take you to our third. Beach volleyball tournament welcome. 🔥 The field of participants is completely occupied and we can expect exciting matches on the sand. 🏐⛱️
After the tournament, we will vote for the 2nd. Group match of the World Cup of the German national team and you have from 22:00 clock the opportunity to follow the game in the club home. 🇩🇪💪🏽
